Baked Apple Sauce

This alternate way of making apple sauce, yields a luscious result right from you oven.

Times

  • Prep Time : 5 min
  • Ready Time : 5 min

Servings

6 to 8 Servings

Ingredients

  • 6 gala:apples, peeled and cored
  • 1 teaspoon:of cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon:of nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup:water

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  2. Grate apples on medium side of box grater.
  3. Mix with cinnamon and nutmeg. Place with water in baking pan.
  4. Bake at 325 degrees F for 20 minutes stirring halfway.
  5. Serve warm cold or at room temperature, as desired.

Tips

This is an alternative way to make apple sauce without any added sugar or butter. Gala apples are best due to their higher sugar content.
