I am a trained natural foods personal chef and culinary instructor living in North Jersey. I love all types of food --- from simple fresh flavors to more complex combinations --- although I like to keep the ethnicity of a dish pure. My earliest memory of loving good food was in third grade, when I traded my processed Devil Dogs and potato chips for my friend's exotic homemade cakes for snack in school. As a mom raising children in the Jewish kosher community, my biggest challenge is keeping them away from too much junk food! My other challenge is finding really great and inspiring cooking in the kosher community that also meets my standards -- no trans fats and artificial ingredients. I love my work with private clients, and my summer work teaching cooking as a camp specialty. I would love it if Day schools would offer cooking in schools --- that way I could work with students all year round!
