I am writing this note in support of the Joy of Kosher Best Caterer 2012 nominee Silverleaf Caterers. Silverleaf catered our son’s barmitzvah lunch on the shabbat right after Hurricane Sandy. They provided for a Friday night dinner and a tremendous shabbat lunch. At the same time, on Friday night, November 2, Silverleaf served a dinner for 300 in one of the shuls in Riverdale. On shabbat, they also served a meal in another synagogue for those without power and electricity. This all without missing a beat, even though some of their operation centers were affected by Hurricane Sandy. I have the utmost admiration for Silverleaf Caterers, and will not hesitate to hire them next year for my twin girls’ benot mitzvah. They are also Tav HaYosher certified which is important to me. Ethical, honest, a pleasure to do business with and the food is DELICIOUS. A winner!!
