This month, with the holidays behind us, and winter drawing close, we are calling for your favorite pumpkin recipes. Please SUBMIT your recipe and then link to it in the comments down below. If you have already submitted a perfect pumpkin recipe, you can enter it by linking to it in the comments below. Enter as many recipes as you would like. Perhaps it’s your Perfect Pumpkin Pie or Delicious Pumpkin Soup? All pumpkin recipes submitted to this site between November 1st and November 14th 2011 will automatically be entered (Make sure to have PUMPKIN in the title).

After November 14th 2011 the JoyofKosher team will pick the top five finalists from the pumpkin recipes submitted. We want to give a warm shout out to our friend Katherine Martinelli who helped us test and photograph the cakes.  There were so many good choices and so many holidays to bake cake for that we were happy to test.  There was the Little Chocolate Cherry Cakes, the Marmalade Spiced Honey Cake, the German Plum Cake that gets a strong honorable mention and the two finalists, the Cinnamon Bun Cake by Nechama  and the Red Grape Cake with Olive Oil by imarealtor.

While they were all great recipes with a few notes we put in the comments, these two are our finalists for originality and taste.

This month, with Rosh Hashanah behind us, but three more holidays to come, we are calling for your favorite holiday cakes.   Please SUBMIT your recipe and then link to it in the comments down below, if you have already submitted a fabulous cake recipe, you can enter it by linking to it in the comments below. Enter as many recipes as you would like.  Perhaps it’s your Rosh Hashanah Honey Cake or Apple Cake or perhaps it’s your special spice cake for autumn and Sukkot.  All cake recipes submitted to this site between October 1 st and October 11 2011 will automatically be entered (Make sure to have cake in the title).

After October 11 2011 the JoyofKosher team will pick the top five finalists from the cake recipes submitted. We will make all five of those dishes and by October 24th 2011 we will choose two recipes to go head-to-head for the top prize. You, our readers, will get to vote on who takes home the prize.
