I have to admit I'm guilty of having something sweet any day of the week with my morning coffee or in the late afternoon for a snack. I make a cookie, brownie or other sweet for regular weekdays, but when Shabbat or a holiday comes around it has to be something stellar! Seeing my family and guests' faces when I serve that extra special home baked goodness makes me so happy.

Many of the desserts I make use seasonal ingredients, since fresh is always best! I also have to confess that I still rely on a wooden spoon and at most a hand mixer, so no fancy tools needed for any of my recipes.

So I encourage you to follow my motto of bake don't buy and enjoy the experience all the experiences from licking the bowl, the aroma coming from the oven and most of all the smiles it brings.
