Fried Dessert Creations – New Contest!

Our November contest was a resounding success with so many pumpkin recipes submitted. It came down to two dishes – Melinda’s Fritters and Fbogus’s Pizza. At 9 am on November 30th the Pumpkin Pizza won with 59 thumbs up, the Fritters were a very close second at 52. Thanks for all your great recipes!

Our December Recipe contest calls for your Fried Desserts. This month, with Chanukah coming up, in honor of the miracle of the oil, we are calling for your favorite FRIED DESSERT creations. Please SUBMIT your recipe and then link to it in the comments down below. If you have already submitted a Fried Dessert recipe, you can enter it by linking to it in the comments below. Enter as many recipes as you would like. All fried dessert recipes submitted to this site between December 1st and December 14th 2011 will automatically be entered (Make sure to have FRIED DESSERT in the title).

PLEASE NOTE – the recipes must be submitted using the online form HERE or they will not be entered into the contest. Please link to submitted recipe in the comments below.

After December 14th 2011 the JoyofKosher team will pick the top five finalists from the fried dessert recipes submitted. We will make all five of those dishes and by December 22nd 2011 we will choose two recipes to go head-to-head for the top prize. You, our readers, will get to vote on who takes home the prize. Voting will take place from December 22nd 9 am EST until December 30th 9 am EST.

Prizes*:

First Prize is this Mauviel MStone2 Frying Pan that retails for $115.

Second Prize is a One Year Subscription to Joy of Kosher with Jamie Geller Magazine AND a copy of Jamie Geller’s Quick & Kosher Meals in Minutes cookbook.

    Try these Banana Beignets, a French-influenced Vietnamese dessert. Both the frying and the flambeeing make them perfect for Hanukkah.
