Here’s a recipe I’ve always followed for my favorite puff pastry dish.
FIG & CAMEMBERT RAVIOLI W/ HONEY BALSAMIC GLAZE:
INGREDIENTS–
** 1 package (17.3 oz) Pepperidge Farm Frozen Puff Pastry Sheets [2 sheets]
** 1 egg
** 1 tablespoon water
** 1 package (8 oz) Camembert or Brie cheese, cut into 24-small wedges
** 12 dried figs, cut in half
** Honey Balsamic Glaze [recipe follows]
INSTRUCTIONS–
1) Thaw the pastry sheets at room temperature for about 40 minutes or until they are easy to handle. Heat the oven to 375-degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease or line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Beat the egg and water in a small bowl with a fork.
2) Unfold 1 pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Roll the pastry sheet into a 16-inch square. Brush the pastry sheet with the egg mixture. Arrange the cheese on the pastry in 4 rows with 6 pieces in each row. Top each cheese piece with 1 fig half.
3) Unfold the remaining pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Roll the pastry sheet into a 16-inch square. Place the pastry sheet over the cheese-covered sheet, pressing firmly between the rows and around the edges to seal. Brush the pastry with the egg mixture. Cut between the 4 rows using a fluted pastry wheel or sharp knife to make 4 strips. cut each strip into 6 squares. Place the ravioli onto the baking sheets. Refrigerate for 15 minutes or until the ravioli are firm.
4) Bake for 20 minutes or until the ravioli are golden. Remove the ravioli from the baking sheets and cool on wire racks for 5 minutes. Serve warm with Honey Balsamic Glaze. Makes 24 pieces.
HONEY BALSAMIC GLAZE–
Heat 3/4 cup balsamic vinegar, 1/2 cup water, and 1/3 cup honey in a 2-quart saucepan over high heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to low. Cook for 12 minutes or until the mixture is reduced by half and has a syrup-like consistency.
EXTRA TIP–
Substitute 1/2 cup prepared fig jam or fig paste for the dried figs. Place about 1 teaspoon onto each cheese piece as directed above in Step 2.

My sister-in-law gave me the greatest recipe for chicken squares. It’s puff pastry, chicken cutlet and pastrami. You form it into a pouch and then serve a delicious apricot jam sauce over it. Though in a pinch I’ve served it with warmed up duck sauce.
I have not baked very much, but I love apple pastries. THank you
One of my favorite puff pastry recipes are salmon and spinach wellingtons. Saute 1 box of frozen spinach with one minced garlic clove. Season with salt and pepper. Cut salmon into cubes. Place salmon in middle of square, sprinkle with salt and pepper, spoon 1 T of spinach on top and close all sides. Place seam side down on parchment paper, brush with egg and bake at 350 for about 25 minutes.

1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 package (10 ounces) Pepperidge Farm® Puff Pastry Shells
1 egg, beaten

I half discovered, half invented a super yummy lunch/light dinner that works really well to-go because it’s filling, easy to eat, and you don’t need to find a place to wash.
It’s a bit of a rip-off the classic onion tart but you fold it up so it’s more portable.
I don’t really cook with amounts unless I’m following a recipe so they’re sort of approximated…
Sautee 8 oz sliced mushrooms and 1 large onion in 2 tablespoons butter until golden. Add in 1/4 cup cream cheese, a splash of wine, and season to taste with salt, pepper, and basil.
Lay out two sheets of puff pastry and fill each half with mushroom mixture. Fold over and seal.
I like to slit the top but I don’t think it’s actually necessary-just makes it prettier.
Bake at 350 for 20-30 minutes.
(You could also spread the mixture across the entire sheet and place the other sheet atop it to serve more people at home…)
Enjoy!
