Maybe you’re like a friend of mine – a crockpot fanatic who has 6 crockpots: 2 meat, 1 dairy, 1 pareve, 1 Pesachdig and -- not sure what that last one is for. (Even she’s not sure.)
Truth to tell, I have only one crockpot, used exclusively for cholent until recently. So all the recipes I’ve given you for slow cookers over the past month have been either meat or vegetarian.
In fact, you can add cheese to absolutely anything (kashrus allowing) and it adds instant zip!
When you make my White Bean Soup with Lemon and Garlic Cornbread – top the bread with sliced or shredded cheese, or make a simple garlic butter spread. Add a little sour cream for a garnish on the Mexican Black Bean Soup with Spiced Tortilla Chips, or top it with cheddar.
It happens that my fave cheese company is Anderson International. Their cheeses are wholesome, delish, hormone-free and RBST-free.
