Mother’s Day Brunch is a breeze with recipes guaranteed to make Mom smile!

I remember my first Mother’s Day brunch for my in-laws … let’s just say I’ve learned a lot since then.

The food was all cold, nothing cooked or baked—a gorgeous spread of cheeses, breads, spreads and tuna and egg salad. Courtesy of my hubby, formerly a caterer, we decorated the egg salad and tuna with garnishes like radish roses and tomato flowers. For dessert he made a baby bassinet out of an individual watermelon filled with perfectly balled fruit salad. I had gained a little weight since the wedding, so everyone looked at the baby bassinet and looked at me and someone said, “Are you trying to tell us something”?  and hubby said, “Yeah, have some fruit.” We ended with a store-bought Mother’s Day cake—there wasn’t a slice left over.

Here are some brunch recipes to try this Mother’s Day. The trick is not to go overboard. Choose some recipes that appeal to you and that you think your family will like. The result will be more relaxed and more fun. And don’t forget to cruise over to our Easy Mother’s Day Desserts post for some delectable treats your Mom will love!

Happy Mother’s Day!
